Maddie White

The emcee for the 2024 Hope Starts Here Winter Gala is Maddie White. Maddie White is a 2-time Emmy® award-winning news reporter and anchor for KING 5 Seattle. In Maddie’s current role, she amplifies the issues that matter to Washingtonians, uncovers injustices, presents solutions for viewers undergoing hardships and tells stories that move and inspire. A proud USC Annenberg alum, Maddie has worked in local news markets throughout the west coast for much of the last decade, and has proved her commitment to shining light in the darkest of places during a global pandemic, a youth mental health crisis, and a fentanyl epidemic that has ravaged the communities she's lived in. Her goal is-- and always has been-- to amplify the voices impacted by today's challenges and hold our elected leaders accountable.
